WOMAD supports disadvantaged & disabled people into work

This year’s WOMAD Festival (28-30 July) gave disabled and disadvantaged people the opportunity to work.

Graft is a partnership of local organisations in the Reading area, working together to support disabled and disadvantaged people who want to find employment. During the autumn of 2005, Graft arranged a number of work placements for candidates.

A BIG cash injection from Europe aims to help disabled people in Reading find work. The £278,917 grant from the European Social Fund is targeted at jobs in tourism, leisure and hospitality.
