We are pleased to announce that we have secured funding from the Big lottery for our social skills for work project.
Often our service users find it very difficult to interact socially. This lack of social contact makes it very difficult for these beneficiaries to engage in learning activities and to present themselves well at job interviews. Those that do gain employment often find it hard to retain their jobs; they are not able to fit in with colleagues, find it difficult to engage and to join in with the social side of work that is so important and are unable to recognise or to communicate their social needs.
Social skills for work will improve the social engagement of our service users in a way that will improve their employment prospects and also give them a range of social skills that will enable them to develop both inside and outside of work.
